We have had some fantastic participation in the past few months. I hope that each of you have had as much fun as we have.
     Our Fall Color Ride more than met our expectations for some great riding. The ambulance service was thrilled to receive the stuffed animals and the Veteran’s Day Parade brought a lot of happiness to participants and spectators alike. As the weather gets cold and the holidays arrive you might think that Chapter Y would slow down, that type of thinking will cause you to miss out on some great activities. Chapter Y slow down, I don’t think so. Just today I had to advise someone that they were doing some unauthorized thinking and that will do nothing but get you in trouble. Seriously, you do not want to miss out on our upcoming activities. Our Thursday night dinner rides have been going, rain or shine, cold or hot, the food and fun have been plentiful. The retreads have taken some great rides and even a few great tours of different locations. Visitations have been going great and our special events have put smiles on everyone. With the exception of Thanksgiving, we will have a dinner ride every Thursday evening for the rest of the year. Our November gathering will be loaded with extra guests since the Ops meeting is in Murfreesboro that day. We have been approved to participate in the Smyrna Christmas parade. Let’s get those bikes decorated and ready to ride in this event. Our Christmas party will take the place of our gathering in December; you do not want to miss this event on Saturday, December 10th. Plans are under way for a New Year’s Day ride with a restaurant stop that will take the chill off of the riders and give others a place to greet those riders. Make your plans now to go with us to Metropolis after our gathering in January. The bus ride up and back is half the fun of this adventure. Have you made your reservations at Fall Creek Falls for the Winter Event? I told you we would not slow down just because it got a little chilly. We are working on next year’s calendar so that we offer you the chance to participate even more than you did this year.
